Creative Hair Styling Academy is located at 2549 Highway Avenue in Highland, Indiana, and occupies approximately 7,700 square feet of floor space. In addition to the office space, there are three (3) classrooms and three (3) clinic areas. Five (5) private offices are available for interviewing and counseling students.
This institution, in the admission, instruction, or graduation policies, practices no discrimination on the basis of sex, race, age, ethnic origin, religion, or color.
Theory classrooms consist of visual aids such as charts, an overhead projector, slides and chalk boards to aid the students in learning the theory of cosmetology. One room is equipped solely for the purpose of giving facials and makeup application. Since hair coloring for men and women is a large part of our industry, another room is equipped for study and experimentation in hair coloring.
The clinic area consists of working stations for our students. In this area, they work on clients under the direct supervision of the instructors.
As well as the standard textbooks used in teaching cosmetology, our cirriculum is supplemented by other instructional materials such as videos, tapes, styling and cutting books and trade journals which describe the latest methods in the arts and sciences of cosmetology. The equipment used to teach our students, such as the appliances, facial equipment and coloring machines are modern and up to date.
The Academy is being improved and updated on an on-going basis to meet the criteria of a modern, up-to-date cosmetology school. Since the original building was erected in 1969, three (3) additions have been built on to the Academy for a smooth and effective training program.
Our school has the capacity to teach 110 students. Presently, there are no special facilities for handicapped students.
